MUSIC
In the last half of 2025, I sat down and finally learned how to compose music on a computer.
Well, I'd tried for a while, but DAWs always felt pretty intimidating to learn.
I'm still quite new to writing music, but I'd like to keep practicing and improving,
so I can create tracks for my games!
Original Work
All of these were made in FL Studio.
I frequently use the SGM soundfont, Roland Sound Canvas, Yamaha YM2612, and SoraBoy.
My favorites are "Stubborn Earth 2" and "Ship Across the Diamond Sea".
Dungeon Groove (2026)
I love the sound of the Sega Genesis. Brings back memories of Phantasy Star IV.
Witch House, Kind (2026)
The home of an trustworthy witch, who greets you with a tired but caring smile.
More 3x oscillator.
Witch House, Odd (2026)
The home of an untrustworthy witch, who greets you with a tired, careless smile.
This one was me playing with FL Studio's 3x oscillator, taking a lot of inspiration from Undertale's "Shop" track.
Her Finest Moment (2026)
Another Touhou-inspired battle riff. A girl's last stand.
Stubborn Earth 2 (2026)
Better than the first. Though, I'm unsure about the piano at parts... practically a full song, but lacking completion.
Stubborn Earth (2025)
I really dig this one. Probably the closest I've come to a full song? It's a bit crunchier and darker.
I adore the sound of piano mixed with "game-like" synth. It's an endearing part of music from Undertale and Zero Ranger.
Flavorful Battle (2025)
I don't remember much about this one, but I'm pretty sure it was more Touhou-inspired riffing.
Ship Across the Diamond Sea (2025)
The sound of a bright orange sunset over shining water, as the dark shape of a craft heads somewhere new.
Touhou Lonely Lovely Bonfire (2023)
A small set of covers made for my shooting game Touhou Lonely Lovely Bonfire.
These are arrangements of existing work composed by ZUN, orignally from Touhou 8: Eiyashou.
They were made in Furnace Tracker.
These songs stick closely to the original work. As I was finishing the game in a rush, I ended up learning Furnace Tracker and making these arrangements over the course of a weekend...
Originally I only made Reach For The Moon, Eternal Smoke, which is why I think it sounds flimsiest. Love-Colored Master Spark was made after the game released, and isn't actually in the game itself, but since Marisa is the player character, I wanted to make her theme. Plus, I was happy for a chance to finally arrange the song that got me into Touhou.
